Putnam County Habitat for Humanity is seeking candidates for a new CRITICAL HOME REPAIR MANAGER. The current CHR Manager will be available until 2023 to work with this new volunteer so that they will be ready to lead a dedicated team of on-the-ground volunteers to assist Putnam County homeowners in making "critical and necessary" repairs to their homes. Measure, mark, hammer, paint and run in the 2023 Habitat Black Swamp Stomp!
Pull your boots on and get ready to measure, mark, hammer, paint and run in the 2023 Black Swamp Stomp!
We invite teams of four people to enter this relay event to support Putnam County Habitat for Humanity’s vision of a world in which everyone has a decent place to live. The pledge goal for each team is $400, with the team that surpasses that goal by the most winning the GOLDEN HARD HAT.
The Black Swamp Stomp will include 4-person relay teams. Each team member will wear big boots—we’re talking about waders, knee boots, steel-toed construction boots, etc. One team member will run 1/2 mile. The other 3 team members will have a different task that makes up one “leg” of the relay. The four tasks, with designated stations) are:
• Measure & Mark
• Hammer Nails
• Paint a ‘Wall’
• Run for the Finish
Instead of passing a baton between each leg of the race, team members will transfer a full tool belt and a hard hat to the next participant.
